Excellent bond to concrete, adhesive plaster masonry stone work etc
Weather resistant mortar with improved durability
Providese waterproof screeds and plasters
Improved tensile and flexural properties strength
Nitobond SBR(Latex) is modified styrene butadiene emulsion specially designed for use as a bonding aid and gauging liquid for cementitious systems. It is resistant to hydrolysis and can therefore be used for external applications too.
Main uses:
Modifying and improving bonding of floor toppings, renderings and mortars.
Repair of worn, damaged and spalled concrete.
Repair of large cracks.
Polymer modified floor screeds.
Waterproof plasters for masonry and slurries.
Advantages:
Simple to use - Single component, gauged as required.
High - Provides excellent bond to concrete, adhesion plaster, masonry, stone work, etc.
Improves -Gives weather resistant mortar with improved durability impermeability to chlorides and other harmful agents.
Reduces - Provides waterproof screeds, plasters and Permeability slurries.
Trowelite is a mortar admixture that improves the workability, cohesion and improves resistance to freeze/thaw cycles, by entraining a controlled quantity of air to the mortar mix.
Advantages:
Improving mortar plasticity.
Reducing permeability.
Chloride free, safe for embedded steel.
Compatible with most types of Portland cement.
Improves frost resistance.
Can be used to replace lime.
Improves bond strength.
Strength increase through water reduction.
Applications:
Trowelite is recommended for sand cement mortars to improve workability, surface finish and freeze/thaw cycle resistance properties.
Compatibility:
Trowelite is compatible with most types of DCP admixtures. Contact DCP Technical Department for further details.
Shelf Life:
Trowelite has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture if stored at temperatures below 50°C.
Standards:
Trowelite complies with BS 4887: Mortar Plasticisers and EN 934-3.
Rapid Set Cementitious Mortar for plugging of water leaks
Section A: General Comments General:
The minimum application thickness of Setplug is 15 mm.
Do not apply the product when frost is expected within 12 hours of the application.
For hot temperature applications, the product should be stored in a shaded area and cool water shall be used.
Equipment: It is suggested that the following list of equipment is adopted as a minimum requirement:
Protective clothing:
Protective overalls
Good quality gloves
Equipment:
Graduated cylinder
Clean empty drum (20 litre)
Stainless steel trowel
Section B: Application
1.0 Surface Preparation
1.1 All surfaces should be clean, sound and free from dust, loose particles, unsound materials, curing compounds and any other contaminants.
1.2 All areas to be patched should be cut back to a minimum depth of 15 mm.
1.3 Leaking cracks should be chased out to a depth of 20 mm.
2.0 Mixing
2.1 Clean water should be added to a clean container.
2.2 Add the powder slowly and mix using a trowel or gloved hand until a stiff mixture is obtained.
2.3 The mixing ratio should be 1 part of water for each 3 parts of Setplug measured by volume, this is equivalent to 1 part of water for each 4 parts of Setplug measured by weight.
Note:
Due to the rapid set nature of the product, mix only small amounts that can be used within the setting
time.
In cold conditions, the use of warm water (room temperature) is advisable to accelerate strength
development.
3.0 Application:
3.1 Apply the product to the leaking areas using trowel or gloved hand and hold until set.
3.2 When the needed quantity is mixed, it must be used and held in the needed position until the initial set
is reached (1 minute at 25°C).
3.3 Cover the leaking area and surrounding areas, provided that the application thickness shall not be less than 15 mm.
Section B: Approval and variations:
This method statement is offered by DCP as a ‘standard proposal’ for the application of Setplug. It remains the
responsibility of the Engineer to determine the correct method for any given application. Where alternative
methods are to be used, these must be submitted to DCP for approval, in writing, prior to commencement of
any work. DCP will not accept responsibility or liability for variations to the above method statement under
